Rosie’s Cafe

Created in collaboration with Design Madgwick, this large-scale painting was commissioned for Rosie’s in Coogee, a hospitality space bringing together thoughtful food, wellbeing and relaxed social dining.

The work responds to the interior’s soft colours and natural materials, with oversized rose forms unfolding across a layered background of pinks, greens and pale blues. Loose brushwork and flowing lines bring movement to the room, while the scale gives the artwork a strong presence within the space.

This project reflects my approach to commissions: understanding the vision for a space and interpreting it through my own painting language. Working in conversation with the designer allowed the artwork and interior to develop a shared character, creating a welcoming setting with a distinctive focal point.
