Kit & Ace
In 2016, I collaborated with Canadian clothing brand Kit and Ace to present a selection of my abstract paintings within its Australian retail environment. The brand’s interest in materials, thoughtful design and local creativity provided a natural setting for my work.
Displayed alongside clothing and textiles, the paintings introduced vivid colour, layered surfaces and spontaneous marks into the store’s pared-back interior. Larger works offered a focal point, while smaller paintings sat among everyday objects, bringing art into the experience of moving through the space.
Looking back, this collaboration reflects an interest that continues to shape my practice: how painting can create opportunities for connection in the places we inhabit. It offered a way for people to encounter my work outside a gallery, as part of their daily lives.
